Elijah, previously known as Elias in WWE, is coming to North Wrestling this July.
Ahead of their Thunderstruck 2 event in July, NORTH Wrestling announced a blockbuster appearance for what promises to be one of the biggest shows in British wrestling this year.
Elijah, formerly known as Elias during his time with WWE, will be in the Walker Dome on July 13. His opponent at Thunderstruck 2 has not yet been announced but with a stacked roster of talent, fans can start getting excited now for a huge match.
Starting his WWE career in NXT as Elias Samson, the ‘Drifter’ was one of the few examples that seemed to excel on the main roster rather than build their star in the company’s developmental brand. Although he never captured a major championship in WWE, he racked up four 24/7 Championship wins.
Captivating on the microphone, Elijah would enjoy multiple standout moments with the company. Two WrestleMania moments against John Cena and an attack from The Undertaker on the Raw after WrestleMania 35, showed how much faith WWE had in the vagabond.
He also can lay claim to a rather bizarre accolade as being part of a very small group of WWE Superstars that have released a music album with not one but two extended plays, Walk With Elias and Universal Truth. The former even reaching number 14 on the Top 100 US albums on iTunes on the first day of release.
He would eventually go undrafted in the 2023 WWE Draft, and was released from his WWE contract on September 21, 2023. On February 18 of this year, Elijah wrestled his first match since leaving WWE at Wrestling Revolver in a losing effort against another talent familiar with NORTH, Speedball Mike Bailey.
After the success of the first Thunderstruck event, NORTH’s biggest ever, it felt inevitable the promotion would head back to Walker Dome for another mammoth show. Last year’s show included matches for Attitude Era legends Scotty 2 Hotty and Gangrel, as well as the emotional moment Leon Slater captured his first NORTH Championship to become the face of the company.
