Joe Hendry is the current TNA World Champion, having successfully defended the belt against Frankie Kazarian and NXT’s Ethan Page at TNA’s annual Rebellion pay-per-view.

Along with other wrestlers like Jordynne Grace, Hendry has often been at the forefront of TNA’s partnership with WWE, making historic appearances at the 2025 Royal Rumble and going on to wrestle Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41.

Hendry is also often featured on WWE’s weekly NXT programme as well as his home promotion; TNA’s weekly Impact! show.

With seemingly no line being uncrossable in 2025, we asked Joe Hendry his thoughts on the possibility of a joint WWE x TNA premium live event in the near future.

Joe Hendry has his arm raised by Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41.

He said, “It’s impossible to say. It’s not something I have any knowledge of, all I can speak on is to say I would love to see it. I think a lot of the fans would, particularly I think they’d really love to see NXT and TNA clash. So if we could do that as a joint PLE, that would be very exciting.”

“Again, that is is something I have no knowledge of, just I think it would be exciting and a lot of fans bring it up. So I think that would be very cool. Just my opinion, but yeah, that would be cool. We’re in an era where anything could happen, which is why wrestling is so amazing right now.”

WWE announced the acquisition of Mexican promotion AAA before WrestleMania 41, also announcing a joint Worlds Collide PLE between NXT and AAA in June 2025.

Some fans were disappointed that WWE didn’t announce a similar show between WWE and TNA, however, with the partnership between both promotions being stronger than ever, the likelihood of joint show at some point in the future remains high.
