WWE is gearing up for ‘Night of Champions’, broadcasting live on Saturday 27th May from Jeddah. The event will see WWE’s top Superstars going head to head, with major Championships on the line.

What is Night Of Champions?
Night Of Champions is a returning WWE Premium Live Event, which was last broadcast in 2015 from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
The event offers WWE Superstars the rare opportunity to defend and win Championship Titles, and following Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque’s introduction of a brand new iteration of the classic World Heavyweight Championship to WWE’s title variety on Monday Night Raw, it’s sure to be highly anticipated by fans across the world.
The previous WWE Night of Champions event saw a star studded line-up battle it out on the world stage, with Seth Rollins defending the last iteration of the World Heavyweight Championship against Sting and Kane, and Sheamus pitching in jaw-dropping post-match attempts at Rollin’s title, proving anything could happen when this PLE returns.
Where will Night of Champions take place?
Night of Champions will be held in the Jeddah Superdome in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Over 30,000 spectators are expected to descend on the stadium, a place which eagle-eyed fans may remember from 2022’s Elimination Chamber.
Who is on the 2023 match card for Night of Champions?
Seth “Freakin” Rollins vs AJ Styles – Returning to the ring after months of recovery from a broken ankle, AJ Styles has made a strong comeback, and is now ready to take on Rollins. With the winner set to be crowned the World Heavyweight Champion, the stakes have never been higher for these world-class WWE Superstars..
Brock Lesnar vs Cody Rhodes – The Beast will take on The American Nightmare once more, following an epic showdown at Backlash, which saw Rhodes claim victory in Puerto Rico. Lesnar has EVERYTHING to prove in this match, but Cody Rhodes will be looking to retain his bragging rights, and prove why he should be feared by all who dare to oppose him.
Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens vs. Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa – With the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship at stake, this isn’t a throwaway match for the Bloodline. After the Head of the Table made an appearance on Smackdown, expressing his disdain for the Uso’s in their previous loss at WrestleMania 39 to Zayn & Owens, and nominating himself to take on the pair in a fit of rage, this title fight will be truly unmissable. Whilst Zayn and Owens are the current Champions, WWE fans know that you can never write off Roman Reigns, or take his 900-day supremacy lightly.
Gunther vs Mustafa Ali – After a 25-man brawl on WWE’s Monday Night Raw with a nail-biting final battle between Mustafa Ali, Bronson Reed, and Ricochet, Ali emerged victorious and qualified himself for a shot at the Intercontinental Championship. Ali has a big task at hand, as the leader of the Imperium has held the title for a record-breaking length of time, and is the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion of the 21st century.
Bianca Belair vs Asuka – Following their epic WrestleMania showdown, Asuka is once again challenging Bianca Belair for her Raw Championship title, which she’s held for over a year. Following Asuka literally raining on Bianca’s homecoming ‘parade’ and spitting poison in her face, this could be one of Asuka’s last chances to get her hands on the title after her previous attempt.
Everything you need to know about the brand new World Heavyweight Championship
This year, a brand new World Heavyweight Championship was introduced by Triple H as part of the 2023 WWE Draft, with the sparkly new title now up for grabs in Jeddah.
With Triple H bringing the accolade out of retirement after nearly a decade, previous title holders embody a who’s who of WWE’s most famous and celebrated Superstars, including The Undertaker, Randy Orton, Batista and more…with Triple H being the inaugural five-time World Heavyweight Champion!
