NJPW's 'Destruction in Kobe' 2023 to be broadcast in the UK exclusively on Extreme Sports Channel!

The NJPW ‘Destruction in Kobe’ British premiere will air on Friday 29^th September at 7pm only on Pluto TV.

Extreme Sports Channel UK will yet again treat its viewers to exclusive content this Friday as it broadcasts NJPW’s ‘Destruction in Kobe 2023’, just 5 days after the live event.

NJPW’s ‘Destruction’ series began in 2007, now taking place multiple times per year across various locations in Japan. ‘Destruction in Kobe’ will host some of the world’s most renowned professional wrestlers such as elite British athletes Will Ospreay and Zack Sabre Jr. Gabe Kidd and Drilla Maloney also contribute to the representation of the UK, appearing alongside other international world-class wrestlers such as Naito, Shingo Takagi, Jeff Cobb, Great O Khan.

Current NJPW World TV Champion Zack Sabre Jr., the self-proclaimed ‘greatest technical wrestler of all time’ and resident NJPW bad guy, said, “United Kingdom! Zack Sabre Jr. will compete in a Tag Team Match as part of TMDK alongside Bad Boy Tito, against two members of the faction, CHAOS (Kazuchika Okada & Tomohiro Ishii).

Will Ospreay’s legendary summer saw him pick up wins over Kenny Omega, Kazuchia Okada, Shingo Takagi and Chris Jericho in a two-month span. After competing in his G1 Climax 33 semifinal, Ospreay took it upon himself to rename the International Wrestling Grand Prix Championship (IWGP), the IWGP United Kingdom Heavyweight Championship. He said, “The belt doesn’t make the man, the man makes the belt, and I am sick to death of carrying something I have no attachment to. I don’t want to carry this (US) flag. I’ve been to America and been the best in the world. Canada, Europe, Australia and Japan, I am the best in the world. The best in the world is from the United Kingdom.”

Ospreay will defend his United Kingdom Heavyweight Championship against Yota Tsuji in the Main Event, which will be his first defence of the title.
