WWE Superstar Bayley is one of the competitors in the 2023 Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder match in London along with her fellow Damage CTRL member Iyo Sky. Wrestlesphere caught up with Bayley to ask about her legacy and more.
Since shedding her “I’m a hugger” persona and slaying her Bayley buddies, Bayley has gone on to unite Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai, leading the faction Damage CTRL. Despite some tension between Iyo and Bayley, both women have remained aligned, but will compete against one another and several other Superstars, in the Money in the Bank ladder match.
Prior to the Premium Live Event, we asked Bayley if she ever thinks about her legacy and what she hopes to leave behind after her career, she told us:
“I’ve done so many amazing things, right now I’m focused on Damage CTRL’s legacy. Right now I’m at the point in my career and a different point in my life.”
With Bayley’s focus being on Damage CTRL, we asked is she taking the opportunity to help build up other Superstars in WWE.
Bayley said: “I think so, that’s something that helps me learn, helps me grow in a different way. You see, I’m not selfish like all these other idiots on the roster. I think that’s always been my calling, to help those who have less experience than me. It’s just in my nature and I enjoy doing that.”
Bayley thanked us for not suggesting that Damage CTRL could split up soon, but we asked her if the faction was all she wanted it to be currently.
She replied: “Well I’d love for Dakota to be here and be in this match with us, and we could use a few more people. I think we have some more potential than what we’ve displayed so far, so hopefully we can get to that when Dakota gets better.”
Finally, we asked Bayley about her confidence and how she maintains it, but we also asked what she’s say to young people hoping to improve their own confidence.
Bayley said: “You’ve just got to stop listening to what everybody says on Twitter. Stop reading your comments on your Instagram. It doesn’t matter, these people do not know what they’re talking about. They don’t know what you’re dealing with internally, just do what you do to the best of your ability and never stop learning.
